Acid Wash vs Resurface on a Miami Pool: What to Consider

Acid washing removes a thin layer of plaster to reveal fresh surface. It can work on mildly stained but structurally sound plaster — common on older Coral Gables and South Miami pools.
Each acid wash shortens remaining plaster life. If your Miami pool has already been acid washed multiple times, or the plaster is thin, resurfacing is often recommended.
